Meet Gina

Gina, our Director and Principal Stylist, is one half of the heart of the Radical Hair Community, our work-mum, our steady leader and our original boss-lady. With more than four decades in hairdressing, she brings a depth of knowledge, intuition and calm confidence that only true experience can create. Gina began her career at just sixteen, already certain she wanted to build a future in the beauty industry. What started as a clear calling has grown into a lifelong craft, shaped by dedication, education and genuine love for the people she cares for through her work.

Known for her warmth and welcoming nature, Gina has a way of making everyone who sits in her chair feel instantly comfortable and understood. Her consultations are thoughtful and unrushed, guided by listening first and advising second. Clients value not only her technical skill, but her honesty, steadiness and ability to translate ideas into looks that truly suit the individual. She believes great hair should feel timeless, wearable and authentic, never overworked or overcomplicated.

Gina's signature style reflects her belief in classic, enduring hairdressing. Her work is grounded in strong foundations and refined technique, with a focus on shape, softness and longevity. She is especially renowned for her pixie cuts, expertly tailored, beautifully balanced and grown out with intention, as well as her perm work, where her experience and precision deliver modern texture with structure and control. She also has a special touch with soft blondes, creating gentle, flattering tones that enhance natural colouring and grow out gracefully.

Across her 46 years in the industry, Gina has seen trends come and go, techniques evolve and products transform, yet her core philosophy has remained the same: healthy hair, personalised design and client trust come first. She blends traditional craftsmanship with modern refinement, choosing methods that serve the client rather than chasing fashion for its own sake. This balanced perspective makes her work feel both current and timeless.

As a salon leader, Gina sets the tone for culture and care. She leads with generosity, consistency and genuine investment in her team. Many of our stylists have been mentored directly by her, benefiting from her technical knowledge, practical wisdom and high standards. Education and skill-sharing are deeply important to her, and her influence can be seen in the salon's strong foundational cutting and finishing work across all levels of stylists.

Beyond the chair and the salon floor, Gina is also known for nurturing in the truest sense, the one who brings people together and makes them feel looked after. She's famous among the team for "putting on a spread" for those she loves, whether it's a celebration, a team moment or just because. That same instinct to care and provide flows naturally into how she runs the salon and supports both clients and staff.
